If the problem persists check to see if the red safe t beam led indicator is blinking. Make sure the carriage is engaged. The transmitters remotes will not work to close the garage door. If it is be sure that the lenses are mounted five to six inches from the floor on either side of the garage door opening.

Luckily you can set most automatic garage doors to a manual mode to bypass the sensors. If you feel any kind of disturbance call an expert. If not re engage it. If they re turned on in both the sensors then there is no issue with the power supply.

You can also disconnect the sensors altogether but doing this will prevent most garage doors from working. If both the red source and green sensor lights are on and not blinking then the door mechanism is working properly. The problem is either due to a blocked path between the sensors dirty eyes loose wires at the sensors or at the motor head or just bad sensors. If you find the lights turned off in one or both the sensors it indicates that there is a problem in power supply.

You will find that the door will only move an inch or so in the close direction and reverse. Check for and clear any obstructions in its way. If just the red source led is out unplug the mechanism check the wiring and plug it back in. If the screw inside the rail us turning and the carraige is engaged but the door is not moving replace the carriage.

Cycle the garage door through the opening and closing actions using the control on the garage wall or the remote unit from a vehicle.
